A project, from the first pole to commissioning
Follow a COTRAC project exactly as it unfolded, step by step.
Meeting with local authorities
Before the first excavation, the team presents the project to authorities and residents: route, schedule, safety. A well-received project moves faster.
Erecting the concrete poles
Each pole is lifted, aligned and set according to SENELEC standards. On this project, teams worked through intense heat, with quality checks at every installation.
Pole-top fittings
Cross-arms, insulators and public lighting fixtures are installed from a lift or ladder, by certified working-at-height technicians.
Cable pulling
The cable is unrolled and tensioned section by section up to the prefabricated 36 kV substation, fitted with its 400 kVA transformer.
Connection and commissioning
Testing, connection to the substation, commissioning: the area is powered. Teams remain available for maintenance.
